Water/Wastewater Senior Project Manager

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina office with a hybrid schedule and up to 40% remote work

What you will do

• Lead water and sewer distribution and collection system piping, pump station, and treatment plant projects.
• Plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects using earned value management principles.
• Supervise multidisciplinary teams of engineers, technicians, GIS analysts, designers, CAD staff, and sub-consultants.
• Design and review engineering calculations, drawings, and reports, including sealing deliverables.
• Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, and project teams while mentoring junior staff.
• Support business development through scope and fee preparation, proposals, marketing, and client service.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering and project management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Georgia Professional Engineer license or the ability to become registered within 6 months.
• Technical proficiency in hydraulics and relevant industry standards.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and manage project teams while maintaining high-quality work.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with design-build and collaborative project delivery.
• 15 or more years of experience in water/wastewater engineering and project management.
