What you will do

  • Provide supervision, guidance, and quality patient care as part of a psychiatric patient care team.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic patient environment and monitor patient activities and specialized observation needs.
  • Report patient complaints and changes in psychiatric or medical condition to the Registered Nurse.
  • Monitor vital signs, collect urine specimens, and assist patients with activities of daily living under nursing direction.
  • Document patient care, activities, observations, and required operational paperwork in the medical record.
  • Support therapeutic activities, small-group dynamics, treatment plans, emergency procedures, and patient transfers for appointments or treatments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • No prior experience required.
  • No licensure required.
  • Ability to follow policies, procedures, safety standards, and emergency protocols.
  • Full-time schedule of 72 hours per pay period on the night shift.
