What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines integrating Eclipse/Epicor, Salesforce, Workday, and other source systems.
- Develop Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers, schemas, and models that establish a single source of truth.
- Lead the technical build-out of the data platform supporting migration to Google Cloud and replacement of shadow data paths.
- Implement data validation, governance, error handling, monitoring, and security across four ERP instances.
- Mentor SQL Developers through coaching, code reviews, and standards for SQL and pipeline design.
- Collaborate with DBA, BI Developers, and business stakeholders while documenting data flows, transformations, and architecture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5–7+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or database development.
- Strong hands-on SQL and relational database experience, including data modeling and layered architectures such as Bronze/Silver/Gold.
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as SSIS or Azure Data Factory and with cloud data platforms; Google Cloud experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to mentor developers, diagnose data integrity issues, and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to learn and apply AI coding tools such as Claude Code.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-ERP environments.
- Working knowledge of NoSQL databases.
- Python or similar scripting experience for automation and data transformation.
- Experience with Eclipse/Epicor ERP systems and hands-on AI experience.
