Investigative Reporter (Television/OTT)

Location: Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite

What you will do

• Produce and present investigative and other major news stories for television, internet, mobile, CTV, and OTT platforms.
• Develop daily enterprise stories and investigative pieces with management.
• Gather and verify information through interviews, observation, and research.
• Organize material, determine story angles, and write content according to editorial standards.
• Create compelling live shots, stand-ups, graphics, social media content, and vertical videos.
• Build a network of sources and complete special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, or a related field; equivalent experience may substitute.
• Three to five years of television reporting experience.
• Experience producing investigative and long-form stories.
• Strong reporting, writing, grammar, spelling, organizational, vocal delivery, and on-camera skills.
• Understanding of social media, vertical video, CTV, and OTT content production.
• Ability to operate newsroom computer systems and collaborate with station personnel.
