TL;DR
Operator I, CMM (Dimensional Inspection/Manufacturing): Operating coordinate measuring machines and precision inspection equipment to verify machined components against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements with an accent on CMM setup, GD&T interpretation, and accurate measurement documentation. Focus on reviewing inspection data, identifying nonconforming materials, maintaining calibration and inspection records, and supporting first article, in-process, receiving, and final inspections.
Location: Hiawatha, Iowa; full-time on-site. Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.; no travel required. Applicants must be a US Person: US citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected person.

What you will do
- Set up and operate CMMs using established programs, inspection plans, drawings, and work instructions.
- Select probes and fixtures, position components, and monitor inspections for accurate and repeatable results.
- Perform dimensional inspections with CMMs, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, pin gauges, and other precision tools.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, tolerances, and GD&T requirements.
- Review and document inspection results, nonconforming materials, dimensional discrepancies, and equipment concerns.
- Support first article, in-process, receiving, and final inspections while maintaining inspection equipment and records.
Requirements
- US Person status is required.
- GED or high school diploma.
- At least one year of experience operating CMM equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Basic understanding of GD&T.
- Experience using precision measuring tools, including micrometers and calipers; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Nice to have
- Two or more years of CMM experience in production or precision manufacturing.
- Experience with PC-DMIS, Calypso, MODUS, or similar inspection software.
- Experience editing established CMM programs or performing first article, in-process, receiving, or final inspections.
- Quality, machining, manufacturing technology, or metrology certification.
- Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, AS9102, nonconforming material processes, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement.
