Quality Auditor - 2nd Shift

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, USA; onsite, 2nd shift

Base pay: $22.81–$26.93 per hour

What you will do

• Support production by teaching operators to use gauges and other quality equipment correctly.
• Audit incoming materials, work-in-progress, quarantined inventory, reworked components, assemblies, and finished goods against specifications and tolerances.
• Sort nonconforming materials, challenge nonconforming products through hold-tag procedures, and verify completed rework.
• Recommend process improvements and participate in the PCI process and inspection procedure improvements.
• Maintain quality records, including PPAP audit results, FAIRs, RMO documentation, deviations, PQRs, FTQ, and PP100 data.
• Maintain inspection equipment, prepare quality documentation, communicate findings, and support other quality personnel as needed.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience with basic gauging equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
• Working knowledge of parts, dimensions, tolerances, inspection equipment, quality terminology, and the assigned production area.
• Working knowledge of PC software and the AS400 system, including data entry and retrieval.
• Strong oral and written communication, organizational, leadership, conflict-management, and independent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work prolonged shifts standing and walking, lift or maneuver parts up to 40 lbs, use PPE, and work around vehicles, ladders, or confined spaces.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Technical diploma or equivalent training.
• Previous inspection experience or related education.
