BIM/CAD Designer - Water Resource Design (Civil 3D)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States; hybrid schedule with up to 40% remote work

What you will do

• Develop 3D models, drawings, and technical details for dams, levees, spillways, outlet works, floodwalls, gates, and related water resource structures.
• Use survey data to create accurate 3D surfaces, cross-sections, grading, alignments, and profiles for existing and proposed conditions.
• Translate engineers' sketches, markups, and redlines into precise CAD deliverables, construction plans, conceptual figures, and technical drawings.
• Maintain CAD standards, templates, styles, blocks, and related processes.
• Review models, drawings, and survey data for accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Lead CAD activities, coordinate CAD workloads, manage CAD resources when assigned, and train or mentor CAD staff and engineers.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience using Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Broad experience in engineering design and technical engineering support.
• Advanced proficiency with computers and CAD software, with strong problem-solving and adaptability.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers, designers, project managers, and personnel at all levels.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in CAD.
• Drafting and design certificate or Autodesk professional certification.
• Familiarity with Revit or MicroStation.
