TL;DR
Electrical Engineer (Energy Infrastructure): Designing and delivering electrical systems for turnkey power generation and energy infrastructure projects with an accent on detailed engineering, procurement coordination, and project lifecycle delivery. Focus on coordinating multiple projects, supporting construction and commissioning, managing suppliers and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with technical and statutory requirements.

Location: Thebarton, Australia. The role includes construction, commissioning, testing, factory inspections, and support for operating sites.

What you will do

  • Design electrical systems and prepare detailed engineering documentation for power generation and energy infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate engineering activities across multiple projects and collaborate with engineers, draftspersons, clients, suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Ensure designs meet project objectives, specifications, statutory requirements, and company standards.
  • Support tenders, estimates, proposals, procurement, supplier evaluations, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, testing, factory inspections, and acceptance testing.
  • Prepare progress reports, support project handover and operation documentation, and mentor technical team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering qualification.
  • Electrical engineering experience in power generation, energy, industrial, mining, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of electrical design principles and project delivery processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, organisational, communication, and technical report-writing skills.
  • Current driver's licence is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Valid working rights in Australia are required. Completion of a pre-employment medical assessment and national police check is required.

  • Experience with Microsoft Project and AutoCAD.
