Chiller Technician

Location: Memphis, Tennessee, or Southaven, Mississippi; onsite work with flexible shifts providing 24x7 coverage, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Travel may be required up to 10%.

What you will do

• Operate, maintain, inspect, and repair critical MEP infrastructure in supercomputing data centers.
• Support mechanical and electrical systems including pumps, piping, chillers, cooling towers, CRAH units, generators, motors, UPS, switchgear, wiring, lighting, and water supply.
• Troubleshoot facility issues, maintain spare-parts inventory, and proactively report performance and reliability problems.
• Write and execute MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs, and coordinate scheduled system shutdowns.
• Develop energy-monitoring metrics and support equipment commissioning, functional testing, and construction-progress monitoring.
• Maintain site safety and environmental compliance with local and regional health and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or at least 2 years of hands-on operations or facilities experience in lieu of a degree; data center experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering principles, critical-systems documentation, and building and electrical power monitoring systems.
• Experience with PLC-based control systems and/or Building Management Systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and technical writing skills; professional English proficiency is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, use hand and power tools, work in tight quarters and at heights up to 100 feet, and operate in extreme outdoor environments with exposure to fumes, odors, and noise.
• Valid driver’s license required. Pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing, as well as pre-employment and annual background checks, are required.
