Associate Aerospace Engineer (Aerospace Systems): Supporting the design, mechanical integration, analysis, and testing of aircraft and propulsion systems for aviation platforms with an accent on airworthiness, safety, prototype integration, and technical data packages. Focus on evaluating flight-control, avionics, communications, navigation, and guidance systems, and solving integration challenges against FAA and military specification requirements.
Location: Huntsville, AL, United States. Office-based role with occasional work in aviation hangars and on flight-line or ramp areas; travel of up to 10% may be required.

What you will do
- Support aircraft and propulsion system design, integration, prototype integration, and testing.
- Collaborate with project engineers, the chief engineer, and design teams to meet safety-of-flight requirements.
- Support mechanical equipment integration and aircraft modification activities.
- Create and modify technical data packages for aviation weapons and research platforms.
- Review materials, structural substantiation, and electromagnetic characteristics of avionics and mission systems against design, airworthiness, FAA, and military requirements.
- Perform operational and data analyses, support cost estimates, and assess system capabilities, limitations, risks, and safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from an ABET-accredited college or university.
- Working knowledge of MBSE and MOSA approaches to weapon-system design and integration.
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to present technical information to end-user customers and clients in written and verbal formats.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government SECRET security clearance.
- Ability to pass drug and background screening.
