Electrical Technician (Medium Voltage)

Location: Memphis, Tennessee, or Southaven, Mississippi, United States. Onsite work involving data center facility systems, flexible 24x7 shifts, occasional travel of up to 10%, and outdoor, elevated-height, tight-quarters, and industrial environments.

What you will do

• Operate, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair critical MEP infrastructure in supercomputing data centers.
• Work with electrical systems and equipment including wiring, lighting, generators, motors, UPS systems, and switchgear.
• Execute and maintain MOPs, SOPs, EOPs, plans, procedures, and operations manuals.
• Coordinate scheduled system shutdowns, maintain spare-parts inventories, and develop energy-monitoring metrics.
• Support commissioning by witnessing equipment startup, assisting with functional testing, and monitoring construction progress.
• Maintain site safety and environmental compliance with local and regional requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or at least two years of hands-on facilities or operations experience in lieu of a degree.
• Knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering principles, critical systems documentation, and building and electrical power monitoring systems.
• Experience with PLC-based control systems and/or Building Management Systems, plus strong troubleshooting skills.
• Professional English communication and technical writing skills are required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, use hand and power tools, work at heights up to 100 feet, and operate in heat, cold, rain, fumes, odors, and noise.
• Availability for flexible shifts providing 24x7 coverage, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; valid driver’s license required.
