Sr. Designer, Motion Graphics

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; hybrid work with an expectation to work from the office 3+ days a week. A relocation stipend may be available for candidates willing to relocate to a hirify.global hub location.

Salary: $111,000–$130,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Lead motion projects from concept through final delivery, including storyboards, style frames, animatics, and finished assets.
• Create animation for brand campaigns, launch videos, web and digital experiences, and in-product moments such as micro-interactions and onboarding.
• Build reusable motion templates and animation assets, and develop motion design guidelines.
• Partner with marketing, web development, and product design to define motion across programs and channels.
• Present design rationale to peers, stakeholders, and senior executives.
• Manage priorities across multiple projects while maintaining a high quality bar and taking ownership of outcomes.

Requirements

• 6+ years of in-house or agency experience focused on design and motion graphics or animation.
• Strong motion craft, timing, storytelling, design direction, and a high-quality reel or portfolio.
• Fluency in After Effects, Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, and other creative tools.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools to accelerate production without compromising craft.
• Experience building motion templates, reusable assets, and motion or brand standards.
• Experience directing contractor or freelance creative work and presenting work to stakeholders.
