Lead Financial Analyst - Legal Entity Accounting & Reporting (Insurance)

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States; hybrid schedule with in-office work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Occasional travel of less than 10% is required.

Salary: $97,000–$129,000 annually, plus potential eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead accounting and reporting for assigned legal entities and holding companies.
• Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements, reporting packages, and supporting analysis.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and accounting support for legal-entity transactions.
• Support consolidated financial reporting and ensure the accuracy and completeness of entity results.
• Coordinate annual audits, regulatory filings, and applicable statutory reporting.
• Partner with Consolidation, External Reporting, Treasury, FP&A, and audit teams while improving processes and mentoring analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 8 years of experience when holding a degree.
• Advanced computer skills.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and U.S. statutory accounting principles.
• Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and Excel skills.
• Ability to work in the Cedar Rapids hybrid office schedule.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or an advanced degree.
• Experience in insurance or financial services.
• Experience supporting complex, international accounting and reporting environments.
