2027 Early Careers: Summer Intern, Finance– United States, New York, NY

Location: New York, NY, United States; in-person work required at least four days per week

Salary: $25.03–$33.37 per hour for applicants in Colorado, Jersey City, and New York City

What you will do

• Support financial reporting, analytics, business performance reviews, planning, forecasting, and operating budget development.
• Contribute to controllership, consolidated financial reporting, tax advisory, accounting, compliance, and tax analytics activities.
• Improve financial management systems and information, and participate in process improvement, savings initiatives, and finance projects.
• Develop and update reports on capital, forecasts, cash flows, funding, and liquidity.
• Review business metrics and perform competitive intelligence for finance teams.
• Complete a nine-week internship from June 7 through August 6, 2027, including training, masterclasses, mentoring, networking, and volunteering.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree expected no later than June 2028; an unofficial transcript is required with the application.
• Availability for the complete Summer Internship Program from June 7 through August 6, 2027.
• Ability to work in the office at least four days per week.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in a professional environment.
• Analytical, problem-solving, organizational, collaboration, prioritization, adaptability, and attention-to-detail skills.

Nice to have

• Finance or Accounting major.
• Interest in corporate finance and rotational programs.
• Coursework, internship, or experience in FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Controllership, Corporate Finance, or Data Management.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and interest in using data and financial information to support business decisions.
• Academic achievement and involvement in extracurricular, leadership, or professional activities, along with an interest in the insurance industry.
