What you will do
- Cut, shape, bend, grind, and assemble steel plate and sheet metal components.
- Build parts and assemblies accurately from engineering drawings, specifications, and current revisions.
- Operate grinders, drill presses, brakes, rolls, shears, guillotines, flame cutters, furnaces, and hand torches.
- Conduct visual quality inspections and correct fabrication or assembly issues.
- Create templates and jigs for repetitive fabrication tasks and maintain consistent quality.
- Work overtime after 38 hours with enhanced pay.
Requirements
- Knowledge and practical experience in sheet metal and steel fabrication.
- Experience with quality-control inspections and fabrication processes.
- Experience using drilling machines, rolling machines, guillotines, hand tools, and power tools.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
