What you will do

• Plan, test, receive, store, assemble, adjust, repair, modernize, and rebuild station electrical equipment.
• Perform and direct routine, emergency, and special tests on station electrical equipment.
• Train and instruct personnel in electrical equipment testing procedures.
• Prepare and maintain station electrical equipment records and develop training presentations.
• Coordinate bidding contracts and monitor contractor performance.
• Investigate equipment failures and malfunctions, recommend corrective actions, and release installations for operation.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance technology, or equivalent qualifying education and experience.
• Alternatively, recent experience within the last six months as a Station Electrician or equivalent role with an electric utility or contractor may qualify.
• At least three years of experience in station or Protection & Control activities.
• Working knowledge of PCs and various types of test equipment is preferred.
• Heavy physical work involving occasional lifting of 50–100 pounds and frequent lifting of 25–50 pounds.
