TL;DR
Licensed Electrical Engineer (Water and Wastewater): Designing and delivering power, lighting, generator, and control systems for water and wastewater treatment plants and pump stations with an accent on design calculations, construction delivery, quality control, and code compliance. Focus on analyzing existing systems, performing power system studies, witnessing equipment testing and startup, and coaching junior engineers.
Location: Hybrid in Fort Worth, Dallas, or Austin, Texas, United States; travel required for project and site activities.

What you will do
- Design complete electrical systems, including power, lighting, generators, and controls, for water and wastewater treatment plants and pump stations.
- Analyze existing electrical systems and develop cost-effective rehabilitation or expansion improvements.
- Support projects from pre-proposal and design through construction delivery.
- Prepare and review electrical calculations, drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Assess equipment, witness electrical testing and startup, and perform quality control reviews for technical accuracy and code compliance.
- Coordinate schedules, budgets, clients, subcontractors, multidisciplinary teams, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Professional Engineer license in Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, or Florida.
- 5+ years of electrical engineering experience and experience supporting projects through all design and construction phases.
- Strong understanding of NEC, NESC, and NFPA 820.
- Experience with power system analysis, including short-circuit, motor-starting, and load-flow studies.
- Ability to work with clients and subcontractors and travel as required.
Nice to have
- Experience designing electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment plants and pump stations.
- Related experience in power generation, pulp and paper, chemical, midstream, or oil and gas refining.
- Ability to obtain Professional Engineer licensure in additional U.S. states.
- Proficiency with SKM, ETAP, AutoCAD, or Revit.
