Construction Project Engineer | QC Engineer - Mission Critical Projects (Heavy Civil Construction): Managing field logistics, engineering deliverables, quality requirements, and project documentation for mission critical construction projects with an accent on cost control, subcontractor coordination, permits, and safety compliance. Focus on tracking quantities and production, preparing change orders and submittals, coordinating utilities and deliveries, and identifying risks affecting project schedules.
Location: Remote - Wyoming; 80% travel to mission critical job sites

What you will do
- Manage field logistics, project documentation, drawing distribution, and engineering deliverables for mission critical projects.
- Track project costs, quantities, production, trucking logs, invoices, purchase orders, and change orders.
- Prepare and maintain submittal, RFI, permit, utility, and project activity logs.
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, clients, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and landowners.
- Support safety and QA/QC plans, testing procedures, site-specific requirements, delivery schedules, and on-site safety observations.
- Assist with estimating, including quantity take-offs, subcontractor and supplier solicitations, bid running, and quote preparation.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience estimating and managing projects in a related construction scope, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret project plans and specifications.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Effective communication, motivational, supervisory, and problem-solving skills.
- Clean motor vehicle record and ability to travel 80% to mission critical job sites.

- Prior experience using construction software.
