Material Scientist – PCB Materials (m/f/d)

What you will do

• Identify innovation opportunities for high-performance polymeric materials used in PCB applications.
• Design thermoset polymer formulations, create prototypes, and improve material designs using test results and customer feedback.
• Conduct proof-of-concept assessments, analyse experimental data, maintain electronic laboratory records, and prepare technical reports.
• Monitor industry trends and identify intellectual property and product differentiation opportunities, including through AI-assisted tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, and external partners to accelerate product development and commercialization.
• Ensure compliance with Environment, Health & Safety, Ethics & Compliance, and International Trade requirements.

Requirements

• PhD in Materials Science, Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in materials research and development.
• Strong knowledge of polymer chemistry and physics, especially thermoset systems and inorganic-filled formulations.
• Understanding of PCB manufacturing, electronic materials, and semiconductor packaging technologies.
• Hands-on experience in formulation development and materials characterization.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
