Salary: $262,900–$404,200 annual base salary, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do
- Lead the strategy and operations of Claim Medical initiatives and represent the organization as its lead physician.
- Design medical product development, innovation, and outcome-focused business strategies influencing claims, underwriting, systems, vendors, and policies.
- Research medical, healthcare, group health, and industry trends and translate findings into product and claims insights.
- Oversee regional medical directors, medical consortiums, physician and non-physician review personnel, workflows, training, and performance evaluation.
- Interpret federal and state regulations, statutes, and medical guidelines to establish medical review policies.
- Partner with claims, pharmacy, product, underwriting, vendors, and other stakeholders to improve medical outcomes, business results, and return-to-work processes.
Requirements
- Licensed MD required.
- American Board of Medical Specialties certification required.
- At least 5 years of clinical and utilization management experience required.
- Strong background in occupational medicine and understanding of healthcare systems, including hospital services, pharmacy, and group health insurance.
- Experience leading major projects or transformational initiatives from inception through implementation, along with management and team collaboration experience.
- Strong research, project management, communication, analytical, leadership, and financial management skills.
Nice to have
- Background in pain management or orthopedics.
- Understanding of psychological factors affecting medical outcomes.
- Demonstrated thought leadership and experience with innovative projects.
