Aircraft Support Specialist (Aviation Logistics)

Company

Provides aviation supply and logistics support for Air Force aircraft maintenance operations.

What you will do

• Manage procurement, receipt, storage, distribution, and accountability of aircraft parts, equipment, hazardous materials, and other mission-essential supplies.
• Process requisitions, receipts, issues, turn-ins, due-ins, due-outs, and other transactions in Air Force supply systems.
• Execute FEDMALL, DLA, offline, and local procurement actions to resolve urgent supply shortages.
• Coordinate with DLA, GSA, contracting offices, transportation personnel, maintenance organizations, and commercial vendors.
• Conduct inventories, discrepancy research, property inspections, reconciliations, and supply trend analysis.
• Prepare deployment shipments, operate warehouse equipment and forklifts, and maintain compliance with Air Force and DoD requirements.

Requirements

• Experience coordinating offline or local purchases and resolving urgent or mission-critical supply requirements.
• Experience working with DLA, GSA, contracting offices, transportation organizations, and commercial vendors.
• Experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, property accountability, and supply reconciliation.
• Experience handling aircraft parts, support equipment, hazardous materials, serialized assets, and controlled or high-value property.
• Working knowledge of Air Force, DoD, safety, environmental, hazardous-material, and technical-order requirements.
• Ability to operate warehouse and material-handling equipment, including forklifts, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to have

• Extensive knowledge of Air Force aviation supply and logistics operations supporting aircraft maintenance.
• Proficiency with SBSS, ES-S, ILS-S, GCSS-Air Force, and other Air Force STAMIS applications.
• Knowledge of bench stock, shop stock, repair-cycle assets, retrograde operations, and excess-property procedures.
