TL;DR

What you will do

  • Supervise the Charges team and manage charge entry, claim generation, work queues, productivity, accuracy, and turnaround-time targets.
  • Monitor operational metrics, conduct quality audits, prepare reports, and implement process improvements.
  • Serve as the primary operational contact for assigned clients, lead performance reviews, and resolve escalations.
  • Lead customer onboarding by coordinating Configuration, Credentialing, IT, Eligibility, Claims, AR, and other internal teams.
  • Develop onboarding plans, implementation timelines, go-live checklists, workflow validations, and user training sessions.
  • Lead, mentor, coach, and evaluate team members while supporting recruitment and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Strong understanding of charge entry, claim creation, payer requirements, healthcare billing workflows, claim edits, and denial prevention.
  • Experience with customer onboarding, client relationship management, project coordination, and simultaneous customer implementations.
  • Knowledge of medical billing software, EHR/PM systems, clearinghouses, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
  • Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, leadership, coaching, conflict-resolution, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with behavioral health or ambulatory care practices.
  • Experience with CareLogic, Credible, InSync, or similar behavioral health EHR platforms.
  • Exposure to workflow documentation, SOP creation, process mapping, and implementation projects.
