Laboratory Technician – PCB Materials (polymer formulation and PCB materials): Conducting laboratory-scale formulation trials and material characterization tests for advanced thermoset materials used in printed circuit boards and electronics applications with an accent on filled polymer formulations, systematic documentation, and data quality. Focus on planning experiments, analyzing results, maintaining calibrated laboratory equipment, and preparing customer samples in accordance with safety and compliance requirements.
Location: Basel, Switzerland; onsite laboratory role

What you will do
- Perform laboratory-scale formulation trials, including filled polymer formulations, and conduct material characterization tests.
- Plan and organize laboratory work with internal functions across multiple innovation projects.
- Document procedures and experiments systematically and prepare technical reports from experimental results.
- Coordinate laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration and keep quality documentation current.
- Manage laboratory material and chemical stocks and prepare and dispatch customer samples.
- Apply data-driven experimental methods while following Environment, Health and Safety, Ethics and Compliance, and International Trade Compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in applied chemistry or engineering, or a completed laboratory technician apprenticeship.
- At least three years of experience processing or formulating polymeric materials.
- Hands-on experience with material testing and characterization techniques.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety and ability to work according to standard operating procedures.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, attention to detail, and commitment to data quality.
- Fluency in English is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with epoxy and acrylate components, inorganic-filled formulations, PCB materials, applications, or processing.
- Experience with data analysis platforms.
- Knowledge of an additional language.
