Senior Water/Wastewater Treatment Engineer (Water Infrastructure): Managing water and wastewater treatment plant engineering projects with an accent on project delivery, multidisciplinary team leadership, hydraulics, and regulatory coordination. Focus on planning and controlling projects with earned value management, maintaining quality and schedule, mentoring engineers, and supporting proposals and client service.
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina, with preferred offices in Raleigh, Atlanta, or Duluth and secondary locations in Charlotte or Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Hybrid schedule with up to 40% remote work.

What you will do
- Serve as a senior project manager for water and wastewater treatment plant projects.
- Plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects using earned value management principles.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, technicians, GIS analysts, designers, CAD staff, and sub-consultants.
- Coordinate project work to ensure continuity, quality, consistency, on-time delivery, and budget control.
- Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, client staff, and project teams.
- Support business development through scope and fee preparation, proposals, marketing, and client service.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering and project management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering.
- North Carolina or Georgia Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Technical proficiency in hydraulics, water/wastewater treatment, and applicable industry standards.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage project teams while delivering quality work on time and on budget.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in Environmental and/or Civil Engineering.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
