Automotive Metal Finisher - 1st Shift ($20.71+ per hour)

Location: Clearwater, Florida, United States; onsite manufacturing or production environment

Salary: $20.71–$25.48 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Prepare metal truck bodies, doors, and assorted parts for painting.
• Inspect materials before and after preparation.
• Sand surfaces and grind welds to create smooth paint-ready finishes.
• Prepare surfaces for the wet-on-wet paint process.
• Repair and glaze minor defects, dents, and gouges.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and attend work regularly.

Requirements

• 0–1 year of job-related, manufacturing experience, or relevant training.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions, bending, kneeling, climbing, and tool use.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds; heavier loads require team or mechanical lifting.
• Ability to use required personal protective equipment and maintain visual and auditory awareness in a busy workspace.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Knowledge of automotive metal finishing and paint processes.
• Experience using polyester primers.
• Experience using small and pneumatic hand tools.
