Mortgage Advisor, Builder Specialist – New Housing Construction (Mortgage Lending)

Location: Nova Scotia VIRTUAL, with occasional on-site work; based in Halifax, NS

What you will do

• Build and manage referral relationships with builders’ sales teams at new home developments.
• Identify prospects and provide residential mortgage financing solutions suited to their needs.
• Interview applicants, collect personal and credit information, verify employment, salary, and down-payment sources, and submit applications with approval recommendations.
• Develop business through industry associations, promotions, seminars, and trade shows.
• Achieve monthly mortgage sales targets and promote life insurance and mortgage disability insurance products.
• Partner with internal banking-center teams to deepen client relationships.

Requirements

• At least two years of lending and credit experience.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage lending, credit assessment, and mortgage documentation.
• Experience with business development, client prospecting, relationship building, and customer service.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada at the specified location; a valid work or study permit may be required where applicable.
• Ability to work remotely with occasional on-site attendance.
