TL;DR
Superintendent (Blasting / Demolition) (Heavy Industrial Demolition): Managing daily demolition and blasting site activities in accordance with safety, design, budget, and schedule with an accent on field personnel leadership, subcontractor coordination, and quality compliance. Focus on conducting hazard-awareness meetings, maintaining construction records, interpreting plans and specifications, and coordinating workforce and equipment needs across Midwest project sites.

Location: Field - Minnesota; based out of Rogers, Minnesota, or New Berlin, Wisconsin, with 25–75% travel within the Midwest required.

What you will do

  • Manage daily demolition and blasting site activities in line with safety, design, budget, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Direct lead personnel and field staff, coordinate workforce and equipment needs, and address performance issues.
  • Schedule subcontractors and monitor completion against agreements.
  • Conduct job hazard-awareness meetings, stretching sessions, toolbox topics, and safety briefings.
  • Maintain daily logs, equipment and material schedules, time cards, and documentation for safety incidents, damage, and injuries.
  • Participate in pre-construction planning, job-site meetings, quality inspections, and communication with customers and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

  • Five to ten years of heavy industrial demolition experience.
  • OSHA 30-hour, HAZWOPER, excavating safety, blueprint, CPR, and First Aid training or certificates.
  • Ability to read and interpret policies, reports, plans, specifications, legal documents, technical instructions, and diagrams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, iPad, and iPhone.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, scheduling, problem-solving, and practical mathematical skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, satisfactory motor vehicle record, and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
