Full Time Design Associate

Location: Columbus, OH, United States

Compensation: $16 per hour during 2–6 weeks of training; $13.50 per hour post-training, plus uncapped commissions and bonuses. Average annual earning potential after training: $35,000–$55,000+.

What you will do

• Sell furniture, accessories, and services while contributing to store sales goals.
• Promote the design program and support the Designer in achieving design sales targets.
• Schedule and conduct professional home consultations with customized room designs, fabrics, furniture, tables, accessories, and installation recommendations.
• Build customer relationships through needs discovery, presentations, closing, follow-up, and after-sale service.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, orders, deposits, records, payments, deliveries, and daily system logs.
• Maintain showroom displays, catalogs, design-center fabrics, store cleanliness, and opening and closing procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, customer service, organizational, interpersonal, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage time, conflicting priorities, sales goals, and business-driven schedules.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and pass a background and drug screen.

Nice to have

• Previous selling experience and the ability to close sales.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
