Insurance Agent – Sales

Location: Lansing, Michigan, United States. Initial training is in person, followed by flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week from a company-approved work location.

What you will do

• Service policyholder accounts, answer questions, and establish working relationships.
• Evaluate coverage needs and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Perform frontline underwriting for new business applications, renewals, and endorsements.
• Bind coverage according to eligibility rules and underwriting guidelines.
• Collect information to open claims and maintain accurate computer records.
• Coordinate with lenders and mortgage companies and explain non-renewal or cancellation decisions.

Requirements

• Several years of related experience and/or training, or a bachelor's degree.
• At least two years of customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain required resident and non-resident insurance licenses.
• Must be able to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information and maintain punctual attendance.
