What you will do
- Define and drive product strategy for streaming video experiences on the X1 set-top box.
- Balance near-term delivery priorities with long-term product planning.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, business, marketing, editorial, legal, support, and operations teams to develop requirements and deliver streaming content.
- Work with third-party content creators and technology partners such as Netflix, YouTube, and NBC Sports Digital.
- Use customer research and quantitative metrics to understand product usage and competitive offerings.
- Communicate product performance, progress, and feedback to executives and stakeholders.
Requirements
- 7+ years of product management experience in a technology environment.
- 4+ years of experience building, managing, or supporting consumer products on mobile or web.
- Strong analytical, strategic planning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make decisions quickly and independently in a fast-paced agile environment.
- Ability to work with customers, senior leadership, third-party content partners, and multiple remote teams.
- Ability to travel, typically once a month, to third-party partners or the Silicon Valley development center.
Nice to have
- Experience developing applications for set-top boxes, connected TVs, or gaming consoles.
- Knowledge of streaming video formats, playback, content delivery, DRM, digital ad insertion, or subscription services.
- Passion for video entertainment, including live TV, movies, and online video.
