Senior Generator Tester

Location: Sussex, Wisconsin, USA; onsite, 1st shift

What you will do

• Perform system testing across generators, models, and subassemblies using work instructions, programs, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, control-system, product, process, and equipment issues.
• Analyze failure modes, identify root causes using 5 Why, PDCA, and 8D, and perform approved repairs and corrective actions.
• Support new product introductions through test setup, validation, troubleshooting, and process development.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Production to improve test methods, throughput, safety, quality, and reliability.
• Train and mentor other testers and provide technical guidance across the Test area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Four or more years of product testing, troubleshooting, electrical diagnostics, or related manufacturing experience required.
• Advanced troubleshooting experience with electrical, mechanical, and control systems, including the ability to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Previous experience training and mentoring employees in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing testing processes, equipment, quality systems, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with SAP or an equivalent ERP system and intermediate to advanced computer skills.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Automated Technology, Electro-Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related technical field.
• Experience supporting new product introductions, process improvements, or engineering initiatives.
