Sr QA Engineer

Location: Spokane Valley, United States; primarily office-based, with work in manufacturing and testing lab environments as needed. Travel up to 10–15% and periodic on-call or work outside normal hours may be required.

Annual base pay: $120,000–$180,000.

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional teams planning, executing, and reporting on complex software and hardware testing for major product lines.
• Establish quality standards, metrics, controls, and testing processes throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Design and improve scalable automated test frameworks using advanced programming and source-code analysis.
• Perform system-level troubleshooting, evaluate technical trade-offs, and drive root-cause resolution for software and hardware defects.
• Define quality engineering roadmaps and communicate quality metrics, risks, and technical recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Mentor QA engineers and promote testing, automation, code review, and engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of progressive experience in software or hardware QA engineering, test framework development, system validation, or PCA/System MFG testing.
• Advanced expertise in QA methodologies, enterprise network architectures, and software/hardware testing.
• Experience analyzing source code and building reusable automation frameworks with Python, C/C++, Bash, or equivalent languages.
• Ability to solve complex problems independently, assess technical trade-offs, and lead ambiguous engineering assignments with limited supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting complex data and influencing technical strategy.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
