Compensation: $37,000.00–$56,000.00

What you will do
- Perform onsite testing of soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
- Support testing activities on commercial and transportation construction projects.
- Work with project managers and technicians to verify that project specifications are followed.
- Apply construction safety procedures, field-testing mathematics, and construction methods.
- Work toward resolving issues that arise during construction.
- Complete technical training and pursue certifications, including nuclear density gauge and ACI Field Technician I training.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Availability for full-time work for six months, from January to May.
- Ability to safely lift 50–75 pounds or more and perform physically demanding activities such as climbing, crouching, crawling, and working in confined spaces or trenches.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying climates, terrains, and conditions, including uneven terrain and varying heights.
- Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, perform required mathematical equations, and work overtime or weekends as needed.
Nice to have
- Experience driving a pickup truck or other large vehicle.
- Studies toward a civil engineering, construction management, or related degree.
- Related experience in construction, labor, landscaping, or engineering.
- Mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
