Demolition Highreach Operator

Location: Festus, Missouri; primarily based at Rush Island, Missouri, with travel to demolition sites throughout the Midwest

What you will do

• Operate ultra high reach excavators exceeding 75 feet and other heavy demolition equipment.
• Use demolition attachments and tools, including steel shears, processors, and breakers.
• Follow company and OSHA safety procedures and report operational issues to project leadership.
• Inspect assigned equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and report defects or repair needs.
• Identify underground and overhead utilities and review trenching protection requirements before excavation.
• Assist with training entry-level employees on maintenance and repair duties.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience operating an ultra high reach machine exceeding 75 feet.
• Five or more years of experience operating specialty demolition excavators.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operating principles and the ability to work under varying conditions.
• OSHA 10 and First Aid/CPR certification, along with the ability to follow required safety procedures, are required.
• Effective communication skills, dependability, punctuality, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test, be at least 18 years old, and be affiliated with or willing to join the union.

Nice to have

• At least five years of industrial demolition experience.
