Line Mechanic Operator (Nights) 5:45pm-6:15am (Manufacturing)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; onsite night shift from 5:45pm to 6:15am

Pay: $26.00/hour plus $0.50/hour shift differential

What you will do

• Lead production line setup, product changeovers, and packaging machine operations.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, clear jams, make minor machine adjustments, and minimize downtime.
• Submit maintenance work orders and perform or assist with preventive maintenance activities.
• Provide guidance to production employees, support training, and complete line KPI documentation.
• Monitor product weights, appearance, coding, dating, pricing, and metal detector checks to support quality standards.
• Perform sanitation, equipment teardown and reassembly, material handling, and continuous improvement activities including 5S.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous mechanical experience in a manufacturing, production, maintenance, industrial, automotive, agricultural, or similar environment.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and make minor machine adjustments.
• Ability to lead production-line activities, use production systems, communicate effectively, and apply basic math.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, obtain Lockout/Tagout certification, and work overtime as required.

Nice to have

• At least one year of manufacturing or production experience.
• Experience with packaging or processing equipment and preventive maintenance.
• Leadership or team lead experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of 5S, GMPs, food safety, quality systems, and machine performance data.
