Actuarial Internship (Healthcare Analytics)

Location: On-site in Austin, TX; Bloomfield, CT; Denver, CO; Franklin, TN; or Philadelphia, PA. Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week; interns may use three virtual working days during the 11-week program. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without current or future visa support, including H-1B or CPT/OPT/STEM.

What you will do

• Own a high-impact actuarial or analytical project from problem definition through recommendation.
• Analyze data to support pricing, forecasting, reserving, and strategic initiatives.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to actuarial and business stakeholders.
• Apply academic knowledge to real-world actuarial and business decisions.
• Collaborate with peers and mentors across teams and locations.
• Build technical, professional, and leadership skills through training, feedback, and hands-on work.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree with at least two years completed in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or data analytics.
• Minimum 3.2 GPA.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data and modern analytical tools.
• Clear communication, effective collaboration, ownership, strategic thinking, and early leadership potential.
• Must be eligible for employment in the United States without requiring visa support now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Python, R, SQL, AI-enabled tools, or other emerging technologies.
• Completion of at least one actuarial exam.

Hiring process
