Location: Hybrid office environment, with attendance on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Locations: Baltimore, Denver, or Cedar Rapids, United States.
Salary: $88,000β$105,000 annually.

What you will do
- Build and analyze models for insurance liabilities, fixed-income assets, derivatives, investments, and portfolios using actuarial systems such as AXIS, ALFA, and MoSes.
- Model and quantify equity, interest-rate, credit, alternative investment, cash-flow, and liquidity risks.
- Gather and analyze market data, calculate hedge and portfolio statistics, and simulate financial reporting processes.
- Develop workflow controls and apply risk management methodologies to mitigate operating risks.
- Collaborate with valuation, asset liability management, risk management, and financial and risk reporting stakeholders.
- Build efficient models and processes, assess the materiality of modeling and data choices, and recommend solutions to complex analytical problems.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, computer science, economics, engineering, finance, or a related quantitative field.
- At least three years of modeling experience, or one year with a masterβs degree.
- Knowledge of at least one relevant area, such as insurance liabilities, asset valuation, derivatives modeling, liquidity management, machine learning, or artificial intelligence.
- Good understanding of investment and finance concepts and the ability to apply them to analytical problems.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without immigration sponsorship is required.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree or actuarial science background.
- Insurance, asset, or derivatives modeling experience.
- Database design and usage experience.
- Programming experience in C++, C#, Python, or another advanced language.
- Experience with QRM, SAS, R, SPSS, AXIS, ALFA, MoSes, or similar software.
