Principal Business Program Manager

Location: Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, United States; hybrid

Salary: $114,400–$157,300 per year, plus a 20% annual bonus for eligible positions.

What you will do

• Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of ComEd transmission corrective and preventive maintenance programs and business initiatives.
• Manage program scope, schedules, budgets, milestones, reports, controls, and operational information.
• Develop KPIs and tracking mechanisms for performance measurement, quality assurance, and leadership reporting.
• Coordinate corrective-action work plans, process-improvement task forces, benchmarking analysis, and change-management activities.
• Establish business plans and objectives across Damage Prevention, Engineering, Operations, Regulatory, and P&CM.
• Provide end-user guidance, client support, diagnostics, and responses to internal and external inquiries; extended hours may be required during storms or energy emergencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business or a S.T.E.M. field and 7–10 years of relevant experience, or 9–12 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Advanced knowledge of project management practices, business processes, performance metrics, and the supported functional area, such as electric or gas operations, transmission, distribution, customer service, or regulatory affairs.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant business applications.
• Expert analytical, financial, problem-solving, negotiation, conflict-management, business-case development, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, build consensus, establish trust, meet deadlines, communicate effectively, and drive culture change.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, with possible extended hours during emergencies.

Nice to have

• MBA or master's degree in business or a S.T.E.M. field.
• CAPM, PMP, or Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
