TL;DR
Crew Data Analyst (Excel/SQL/SAS): Analyzing and reconciling crew compensation, credit hours, sick banks, and vacation banks with an accent on payroll accuracy, collective bargaining agreement compliance, and operational reporting. Focus on auditing automated compensation data, applying duty-time regulations, and resolving complex financial and contractual discrepancies.
Location: Hybrid position in Memphis, Tennessee; candidates must live within 50 miles of the campus and work onsite several times per week.
Salary: USD 4,107.80–6,572.48 per month (Memphis pay range, FEC-22B).

What you will do
- Analyze crew compensation data using Excel, SQL, and/or SAS to ensure accurate accounting of credit hours.
- Plan, develop, audit, and evaluate crew compensation in accordance with collective bargaining agreements and operating procedures.
- Audit, maintain, and reconcile crew sick and vacation banks.
- Track, control, and substantiate incoming data for payroll processing and reporting.
- Collaborate with Payroll, HR, Finance, IT, Operations, and system and data teams.
- Communicate financial impacts and requirements to stakeholders and support decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- At least two years of experience with automated compensation systems, financial or operational analysis, and/or computerized crew management systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas, and VBA/macros.
- Ability to perform data analytics using Excel, SAS, and/or SQL.
- Knowledge of pilot collective bargaining agreements, duty-time regulations, statistics, accounting, and crew management systems.
- Strong planning, organization, attention to detail, communication, problem-solving, and independent-work skills.
Nice to have
- Emphasis in finance or accounting.
- Experience applying cross-functional organizational and contractual knowledge in a complex operational environment.
