TL;DR
Finance Analyst (Accounting and Finance): Supporting financial analysis, accounting operations, reconciliations, forecasting, reporting, and compliance for Chevron’s global business segments with an accent on process improvement, operational accounting, and financial controls. Focus on capital budgeting, month-end close activities, account reconciliations, regulatory reporting, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

’s Business Support Center provides finance and accounting support to its Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream business segments worldwide.
What you will do
- Provide financial analysis and accounting support for operational and month-end close activities.
- Perform account reconciliations, cost analysis, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Support capital budgeting, regulatory reporting, internal controls, compliance, and tax-related activities.
- Improve processes and drive operational efficiencies through technology and critical thinking.
- Track accountability and scorecard metrics while liaising with other finance divisions.
- Build relationships with internal partners and external customers across diverse business areas.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration, completed or in the final stages.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in accounting and finance positions.
- Advanced English proficiency required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Adaptability to change and comfort working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Nice to have
- Finance or accounting degree.
- Experience with automation and productivity tools.
- SAP or JDE experience.
- Curiosity to experiment with new technologies and support innovation.
