Configuration Management Analyst (DoD IT): Developing and maintaining configuration management processes across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments with an accent on configuration baselines, change control, audits, and status accounting. Focus on supporting Configuration Control Boards, coordinating technical stakeholders, and ensuring configuration changes are evaluated, documented, approved, and implemented.
Location: On-site at NAS Patuxent River, MD, United States
Salary: $75,000–$110,000 USD per year

What you will do
- Develop, maintain, and execute Configuration Management plans, policies, procedures, and SOPs.
- Perform configuration identification, change control, status accounting, verification, and auditing across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
- Maintain configuration records and track Change Requests, documentation, and related changes.
- Support Configuration Control Boards and formal change-control activities.
- Coordinate with engineering, cybersecurity, operations, program management, government leadership, and other stakeholders.
- Provide configuration status, metrics, and reporting to program leadership and engineering teams.
Requirements
- Active Secret security clearance is required.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Configuration Management, Product Lifecycle Management, systems engineering, IT operations, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience performing Configuration Management activities in technical or engineering environments.
- Experience with Configuration Control Boards, Engineering Change Proposals, or similar formal change-control processes.
- Experience using Configuration Management or Product Lifecycle Management tools, plus platforms such as SharePoint, OneDrive, or DodSAFE.
- Strong organizational, written, verbal communication, and Microsoft Office skills.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
- Experience in DoD, federal government, or other highly regulated technical environments.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Windows, and Unix/Linux environments.
- Knowledge of DoD Impact Levels, FedRAMP, NIST, FIPS, DoD SRG, and SCCA requirements.
- Experience adopting emerging Configuration Management technologies, automation, and cloud-based capabilities.
