Salary: CAD 109,254.75–147,815.25 per year

What you will do
- Develop, optimize, and implement biophysical screening assays for novel therapeutic candidates.
- Conduct affinity and kinetic characterization screens using Carterra, Octet, Biacore, and KinExA platforms.
- Design and execute high-throughput, custom, and smaller-scale assay development studies.
- Perform instrument housekeeping, reagent ordering, and troubleshooting.
- Summarize and report data in ELN, Screener, Benchling, and presentation decks.
- Collaborate with scientists in the affinity team and In Vitro Pharmacology group to support therapeutic antibody discovery.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree, or a master’s degree with 3 years of related experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of directly related experience.
- Strong understanding of molecular binding interaction theory, including SPR and BLI.
- Hands-on experience with Biacore instrumentation; KinExA experience is strongly preferred.
- Background in protein chemistry, biochemistry, or antibody research.
- Strong laboratory, analytical, organizational, and data interpretation skills.
- Work location: Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.
Nice to have
- Experience with mammalian cell culture using CHO or HEK cells and transfection.
- Experience with on-cell affinity assays or FACS.
- Experience using PRISM, Codex, R, or Python for data analysis.
- Interest and aptitude in design of experiments, assay development, and troubleshooting.
