Project Engineer I (Construction)

Location: McLean, Virginia, United States; on-site

Salary: $75,000–$78,000 per year

What you will do

• Coordinate material procurement, delivery, subcontractor solicitations, and subcontractor coordination.
• Produce project schedules and support construction project management.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for suitability.
• Prepare, qualify, and track subcontractor change orders and Requests for Information.
• Collect, verify, and distribute as-built drawings and maintain project close-out documents.
• Assist with field supervision, blueprint reading, quantity take-offs, correspondence, and quality control.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in Engineering, Construction, Architecture, or Business.
• Knowledge of construction technology, including Bluebeam, Revit, and Procore.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with spreadsheet, word-processing, and scheduling applications is preferred.
• Prior internship experience is a plus.
