Data Governance Advisor

Location: Hybrid role based at an SCE facility in Irwindale, California; employees are generally required to work and reside in California.

Salary: $129,200–$193,700 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and oversee enterprise data governance, data quality, reporting, analytics, and automation solutions.
• Build automated monitoring tools, SQL-based solutions, data models, reports, and data quality controls.
• Track performance, analyze process and product measures, and recommend continuous quality improvements.
• Evaluate data gathering, record maintenance, documentation, and compliance risks while implementing mitigation strategies.
• Analyze business processes, assess replacement solutions for outdated processes, and support strategy and policy development.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with business and IT stakeholders to define requirements, technical solutions, and implementation strategies.

Requirements

• Seven or more years of experience in advanced data analytics, reporting, and developing process improvement opportunities.
• Experience with SAP HANA, Snowflake, SQL Server, Python, or comparable data management and analytics platforms.
• Knowledge of data governance, data stewardship, data quality management, metadata management, and data lineage.
• Experience supporting regulatory, audit, risk management, or compliance-related data initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical-to-business translation skills.
• Ability to work and reside in California and report to an SCE facility under the hybrid work arrangement.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience in utilities, energy, or another highly regulated industry.
