Summer 2027 Internship - Civil Engineering

What you will do

• Support project managers and engineers with plans, specifications, cost estimates, technical reports, memoranda, and engineering studies under the supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer.
• Develop and evaluate design alternatives using basic engineering parameters, project objectives, constraints, and applicable standards.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D and other approved tools to produce drawings, exhibits, redlines, submittals, and record drawings.
• Assist with land development plans, including grading, drainage, utilities, permitting, and constructability reviews.
• Support transportation, traffic, structural, water, and wastewater design, analysis, documentation, and regulatory coordination.
• Participate in site visits, field activities, construction observation, data collection, and reviews of contractor submittals as assigned.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil or Agricultural Engineering at an ABET-accredited college or university.
• Familiarity with engineering principles, practices, and procedures.
• Basic proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while adapting to shifting priorities and deadlines.
