Safety Manager

Location: Anderson, South Carolina, United States; office and distribution-center floor presence required, with possible support for multiple shifts, weekends, and emergency response situations.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable regulations.
• Lead audits, inspections, risk assessments, and hazard analyses across distribution-center operations.
• Investigate incidents, manage corrective actions, and communicate safety metrics and recommendations to leadership.
• Deliver safety training and onboarding programs.
• Improve safety across warehouse traffic, powered industrial trucks, dock operations, racking systems, and material-handling processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of safety leadership experience in distribution, warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial operations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems.
• Experience conducting investigations and managing corrective actions.
• Ability to walk distribution-center floors for extended periods, climb stairs, access mezzanines, inspect equipment, lift up to 25 pounds occasionally, and wear required PPE.

Nice to have

• CSP, ASP, CHST, OSHA 30-Hour, or equivalent certification.
• Experience in high-volume distribution-center environments.
• Lean Six Sigma or continuous-improvement experience.
• Knowledge of WMS and warehouse automation.
