Compensation: $20–$24 per hour; the listed annual compensation range is $37,000–$56,000.

What you will do
- Perform field testing of soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
- Conduct onsite materials testing on commercial and transportation construction projects.
- Work with project managers, construction crews, and technicians to verify that specifications are followed.
- Apply ASTM, AASHTO, ACI, ICC, and DOT standards and testing procedures.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on uneven terrain, at varying heights, in confined spaces, or supported trenches.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for the past three years.
- Full-time commitment for six months from mid-May through December.
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform climbing, balancing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed, with a safety-focused mindset.
- Students pursuing engineering, construction management, or a related degree are encouraged to apply; relevant experience is preferred but training is provided.
Nice to have
- Experience driving a pickup truck or other large vehicles.
- Work experience in landscaping, construction, farming, or a related field.
- Mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
