Associate Principal, Data Analytics Engineering

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States. Hybrid work environment with up to 2 days per week of remote work.

Salary: $124,400–$140,500 per year, excluding benefits and potential discretionary bonuses.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain hirify.global’s internal analytics data warehouse and supporting ETL processes.
• Design cloud data warehouse infrastructure and batch data ingestion frameworks for extracting and loading data.
• Build data models and business-oriented datasets for analysis, dashboards, and downstream analytics.
• Tune warehouse performance and storage processes, and collaborate with DBAs on access controls and governance.
• Use Terraform, Ansible, Python, shell programming, Docker, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, HashiCorp Vault, Automic UC4, and Apache Airflow to operate reliable analytics infrastructure.
• Support analysts, improve data literacy, document and test datasets, and share analytics engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in data science, analytics, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience as a data analyst, data analytics associate, or in a related role.
• Work experience provisioning AWS infrastructure with Terraform and Ansible for model development and backtesting.
• Work experience building SQL ETL pipelines with Python frameworks, data modeling, shell programming, and configuration as code.
• Work experience with Docker, Jenkins, and JFrog Artifactory for containerization and continuous integration.
• Work experience integrating HashiCorp Vault and orchestrating data-intensive applications with Automic UC4 or Apache Airflow.
