Overhaul & Repair Centre Operative (Engineering)

What you will do

• Maintain a clean, organised, professional, and compliant Overhaul & Repair Centre.
• Organise workshop areas, tools, equipment, and consumables, including booking tooling in and out.
• Support engineers, supervisors, and the Service team with day-to-day workshop operations.
• Collect consumables and deliver parts, tooling, and equipment to off-site locations when required.
• Operate and inspect workshop equipment, including overhead cranes, forklift trucks, and ladders.
• Complete daily pre-shift equipment checks and report issues promptly.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• General workshop and housekeeping awareness, with the ability to follow procedures and maintain high organisational standards.
• Understanding of health, safety, and environmental requirements in a workshop setting.
• Ability to work independently, use initiative, manage priorities, and contribute effectively to a team.
• Reliable, punctual, self-motivated, organised, and willing to learn and develop new skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in a busy engineering or heavy workshop environment.
• Forklift licences, including B1, B2, and P1.
