Staff Engineer II - MuleSoft Engineer (Banking): Defining API development standards and building scalable bank integrations on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform with an accent on API-led connectivity, production support, and resilient cloud operations. Focus on designing API layers, resolving complex incidents, establishing governance, and applying AI-assisted engineering to improve development, testing, and documentation.
Location: Dallas/Irving, Texas, United States; up to 25% travel may be required.

What you will do
- Define API development direction, engineering standards, governance, and operational lifecycle practices.
- Design, develop, test, document, and deploy APIs and integrations on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Build API layers, data models, and specifications using API Manager, CloudHub, Anypoint Studio, DataWeave, and Anypoint MQ.
- Own production support, including incident management, issue triage, root cause analysis, and permanent fixes.
- Establish observability through logging, monitoring, and alerting, and support releases, environment management, and post-release validation.
- Provide technical leadership across delivery, production support, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience designing, coding, testing, implementing, and documenting MuleSoft APIs.
- Expert-level MuleSoft and Anypoint Platform knowledge, including strong CloudHub experience.
- Experience with production support, incident management, root cause analysis, API-led connectivity, and API standards.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams, managing multiple projects, conducting technical design discussions, and applying Agile development practices.
- Experience with pipeline development, Azure DevOps, governance patterns, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and AI-assisted engineering tools or practices.
